Aloft Hotel
This project is our largest structural steel project to date. We supplied the structural steel for handrails, stairs and various steel structures to MC Hotels, an affiliate of Maryland Heights-based Midas Hospitality. Built in the Cortex District in 2019, this five-story hotel has 129 rooms, a separate one-story restaurant and entertainment bar and balcony overlooking Cortex Commons. “Green” Award: Centene Hanley Tower
The Centene Hanley Tower is a new 33 story office tower, expanding the Centene Corporation Headquarters in Downtown Clayton. Foundation construction began in May 2017 and the building was completed in August 2019. The tower is the first phase of the Centene Urban Campus expansion. Special quality components of this project included mass concrete, self-consolidating concrete, lightweight concrete, specialized concrete formwork, concrete maturity monitoring, and complex concrete pumping scenarios. The concrete suppliers on this job provided very high levels of quality control with zero out of spec low cylinder breaks on the project – a tremendous achievement given the over 30,000 cubic yards of concrete poured. This project will achieve LEED Gold with large contributions from recycled materials in concrete, reinforcing, and regional materials sourced within the concrete scope of work. American Steel supplied reinforcing steel for the parking garage structure.
Captain Morgan Distillery
Tim travels anywhere for his customers! He has been to New Jersey, Florida, California, North Dakota, and even the US Virgin Islands, where he supplied rebar and structural steel for Hoette Concrete at the Captain Morgan Distillery.
Promotional Award: Top Golf
Top Golf, a well known national golf and entertainment venues, decided to enter the St. Louis market in the Chesterfield Bottoms. Being visible from miles away, the state of the art facility boasts extremely tall nets surrounding the outer perimeter of the entire footprint. Knowing the structural stress that would be placed on them, each of these net posts were anchored with 40 yards of concrete and rebar provided by ASFI. All flatwork in the building was poured with concrete and stained and polished to create a mottled decorative finish. Top Golf will be a staple in the Chesterfield Valley for years to come.
Chairman’s Award: Pfizer Chesterfield
Concrete Strategies utilized approximately 12,500 cubic yards of concrete during the construction of Pfizer’s new research campus in Chesterfield. Concrete was used for footings and foundation walls, polished tilt-up panels, tilt-up wall panels, interior slab on grade, and interior flatwork and site work. Polished tilt-up panels had to be cast exterior face up and allowed to cure prior to polishing. Rebar provided by ASFI reinforced the concrete structure of the panels. CSI, along with Clayco’s technology team, has integrated the building process from head to tail and adopted new technologies that bring state of the art design-build opportunities to clients and the communities they service.
Busch Stadium
ASFI provided the rebar for masonry and utility work in this 2.14 million brick structure.
ASFI worked overtime to have the project completed on time for the 2006 season, and then greatly enjoyed the 2006 World Series victory with friends in our new stadium.
St. Louis University
ASFI supplied the rebar for this project. There were many aspects of this job, including tilt up panels with arches and radial bent bars, six layers of reinforcing and stringent demands on proper support size and spacing, and many areas of potential rebar collisions- all of which made this a challenging project.
Peabody Opera House
We were proud to be a part of the remodel that returned this great St. Louis landmark to its original glory.
Originally built in 1934, and closed since 1991, the Peabody opera house reopens for business in 2011.
Lumiere Place
This was a very large project where we provided structural steel & rebar construction products.
There were constant rush orders and numerous customers and deliveries for which our trademark flexibility came in handy.
The Saint Louis Arch
We supplied the rebar to replace the grand staircase at the majestic Gateway Arch. The grand staircase connects the arch to the riverfront and serves as the base of the gateway that still beckons us to the great west.
Sherwood Forest Resort
ASFI provided the structural steel to help erect the structure of this commons building, a main anchor building for the resort in Lesterville, Missouri called Sherwood Forest. Here you see progess pictures. All the structural steel in the first picture was supplied by ASFI.
Bridgeton Water Treatment
ASFI supplied all the structural steel for this project. The Bridgeton Waste Water Treatment plant needed a total overhaul. ASFI provided over one million dollars in structural steel, making this one of the largest projects ASFI has supplied to date.
