Founded in 1994 by Tim and a group of his customers, American Steel Fabrication has grown into a one of the most respected and premier steel manufacturers in the Midwest. Centrally located in St. Louis, Mo., American Steel Fabrication developed a strong reputation and a solid base of repeat business with fast service, competitive pricing and continuing to exceed their clients expectations.
Meet The President
Tim Thomas, founder and president of American Steel Fabrication is a dedicated, knowledgeable professional who has personally managed hundreds of projects for his company. Through the years, he has worked in all aspects of his company, from accounting, to estimating, to delivery – all to provide a customized, exceptional buying process for his customers. His unmatched reputation as a good businessman and experienced estimator keep his clients coming back and has helped him retain a great team of quality, talented steel professionals for his company.
Originally from St. Louis, Tim started working in the steel construction industry at age 15. Learning from seasoned professionals, he quickly adapted to the environment and developed a specialized training in steel which prepared him for his future career. With a Bachelor’s of Science in business and Masters of Finance from Webster University, Tim has the combination of academic knowledge and real world experience to position American Steel Fabrication for continued growth into the next decades to come. He tirelessly supports his industry’s most recognized associations and consortiums by volunteering for their top positions. Building on an already full resume, Tim was recently named to the board of the Concrete Council, was past chairman of the Steel Institute and past president of American Subcontractors Association – to name a few.
Tim enjoys traveling in his free time, as well as participating in local St. Louis charitable organizations.
